From Burt on Tue, Jan 05, 2010 at 12:47:02 from 206.19.214.144

I don't know what HTC is either, but it sounds deadly.

From nicole on Tue, Jan 05, 2010 at 14:23:37 from 128.208.244.70

Somebody actually listens to me! Welcome my dear! So excited to have you!! HTC is the famous Hood to Coast!

From Burt on Tue, Jan 05, 2010 at 14:32:20 from 206.19.214.144

That is a deadly race. Deadly FUN!

From Kelli on Tue, Jan 05, 2010 at 16:54:37 from 71.219.96.112

I WANT to do that race---one of these days!

From jun on Tue, Jan 05, 2010 at 20:03:21 from 63.224.104.209

Welcome to the blog. Does HTC require you to slog through ridiculously mountainous terrain on unrelenting trail systems that don't make any sense? Would I get to puke, bleed, and cry? If not, I think I'll pass. Just kidding. I'm a big wuss.

From Benjamin on Wed, Jan 06, 2010 at 18:32:35 from 192.168.1.1

Burt, your idea of fun is suicidal and completely insane.

You dominate! Is this running on the treadmill? What gym do you belong to?

From jun on Wed, Jan 06, 2010 at 23:59:05 from 63.224.104.209

You are at the same place as my wife right now, although her pace is a tad slower. Like I keep telling her, it will pass and soon you'll be cruising and loving it.

Yay! You're back! You jumped up to 5 quick, you must have been running this whole time? My first 1-2 miles are always the hardest and I always want to quit! I wish I belonged to a gym so I could try Zumba.

What do you think about the Portland Marathon this year? :-)

Total Distance

did step class and lifted arms in the afternoon.  ran 4 miles late afternoon/evening.  It was just slightly different in the cold, wind, and rain after over a week of sunny skies and tank tops!  Kind of felt like I was going to die, but I finished!

 Mile 1 & 4 - not a problem

Mile 2 - ugh. . .

Mile 3 - OK, luckily it was rush hour and being prideful, I didn't want all those cars see me walk.  Hey, whatever works I guess!

You are a work-out machine! Arms, step class, AND four miles? Impressed.

2 miles on the treadmill was too miles too far.  After running outside for the past 2 weeks, I am officially not a fan of the treadmill.

Didn't bike today because I had Zumba class and there's no way I could have done all 3.  I mean, I'm good but I'm not Superwoman.  Going to bike tomorrow.  Please no rain!!!

I HATE the treadmill. Plus it makes me feel like a loser because running a 11 min mile on there feels hard. :-) And time goes sooo slow, begging me to press that stop button the whole time.

Wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, but still not fun at all.  I had a pretty slow pace, but I think it was because I was so afraid of going to fast at the beginning and not having enough gas to finish that I overcompensated and went slooooow.

Kind of crazy though that I'm almost at half of a half marathon.  I'm very thankful I get to run 6 next week for the long run and that it doesn't keep going up!

Way to go! By the way, I think there is a way to make your blog be a triathlon blog, so you can log your biking miles too. But you might have to start over... :-( !

From Star Worz on Fri, Mar 05, 2010 at 15:24:54 from 24.21.52.223

it helps when your husband meets you half way and rides just far enough ahead of you that you have to run a little faster than your used to. . .until he yells at you to sprint to the stop sign and you just smack him! :)
